Many hands make light work and there’s always plenty of work to do around here. In a few weeks (Sat 8 June) Gung Hoe Growers and I are hosting a CSA members potluck dinner. For those that are interested, I thought I’d open the farm for a working bee prior to dinner so we can work up an appetite!
Jobs may include: mulching prunings, understory planting, mucking out the yards and prepping garden beds (depending on how much prep I can get done before the day). Spots are limited to 15 and CSA members are first in line (as it is on the same day as the potluck event). The invitation will be opened to others from this Sun so register now if you’d like to secure a spot.
Arrival is from midday and we’ll start work at 12.30. We’ll put in a few hours work and then break at 3.30 for a cuppa and a rest before the farm tour (4.30) and dinner around the fire. There may be machines and tools being used so it is probably not ideal for young kids to attend.
