Cover of 'Farming Democracy' by AFSA.

The Australian Food Sovereignty Alliance (AFSA) recently released a book showcasing (and written by) regenerative farmers from across Australia.

With the tag line “Radically transforming the food system from the ground up”, the book seeks to shed light on the ‘true cost’ of food.

The highlighted producers represent a diverse range of farming practices. They candidly ‘open their books’ to give a great insight into the economics of food production.

All proceeds go to supporting the works of AFSA, which include but are not limited to:

  • Govt submissions on proposed food and ag regulation
  • Facilitation of local farmer-farmer knowledge sharing
  • Promotion of CSA and other direct sales models
  • Lobbying of Australian govt and UN to recognise agroecology as the future of food production!
